My bestfriend has a serious problem. ALL she thinks about is GUYS. One guy inparticular. The jerk who got a girl pregnant (named the baby after my bestfriend), left his baby and her mom and then, lead on my friend… made her believe he loved her. Talked her into having sex with him, mind you she was a virgin before him. Then, stopped talking to her. Randomly 2 weeks later, we ran into him at the movies and she confronted him. They starting hanging out again, having sex… etc. They weren’t ever officially boyfriend and Girlfriend. He drove my bestfriend and I apart. Because she knew everything she was doing was wrong, and if she asked me, i would tell her. ALL this went on from May ‘07 til November ‘07. Meanwhile, we had stopped being friends. Then in August ‘08 my bestfriend and myself had made up. And, that’s when she told me, that the guy she was “seeing” had left her oneday through a text message. telling her she was gross and he never liked her and didnt want to see her again. We found out that he had gotten back with his babys mother, and they were pregnant again. Ever since we were friends again, my bestfriend and I, all she talks about is how much she misses him, and loves him and wants him. and how NO other guy wants her. and how unhappy she is. I DON’T UNDERSTAND THIS. He treated her like crap. and she hasn’t gotten over him. she still cries over him and everything. Well, today we found out that this guy and his now wife, are splitting up. And my bestfriend called me, and was crying saying how much she wants him back and if she doesn’t want her. she doesn’t know what to do. she says she will never be happy again. and never find anyone better than him. and that she “LOVES” him so much. BULL! She doesn’t love him, or atleast I can’t see how she does! And, I’m tired of her complaining and talking about him. I DON’T LIKE THAT JERK. and I want better for her. and I know God has someone out there for her. But she won’t listen to me. What do I do? and what is her problem?! Please Help me. or her.

hey! I wanted to respond to Christines comment. That’s a horrible situation that your friend is in! But I too have been in the same spot. My best friend was off and on with this guy for forever! He treated her like crap and because of him se developed a horrible self image. I told her time and time again that she deserved so much better but that didn’t do a thing; I mean why would she listen to me right? haha, but anyways I was finally able to get her out of the bad relationship when I hooked her up wth one of my super sweet guy friends who was really cute and really into her. Now that she has had a taste of someone who is going to treat her right, I’m sure that her standards have been raised quite a bit. So maybe you should try to play matchmaker, who knows it might help!

my best friend in the entire world is AHH-mazing. she’s smart, and beautiful, and has super amazing fashion sense. I want to ask a question by a little background knowledge is needed… Okay so from 1st - 5th grade I lived in Utah. While living there, at school I would be physically and verbally beaten at least once a day because I am Presbyterian. At the beginning of 6th grade i finally moved and we came to live in Colorado. Now, because of my weird childhood, i’m afraid of people. I act tough so that i’m not judged by others and i’m extremely over conscience. I’m turning 15 in 6 days and i still have never had a boyfriend. I feel so left behind because all my other friends are getting boyfriends, but i’m so afraid of being judged by a guy uncontrolably. I’ve had friends tell me i need to change to get a boyfriend but i don’t know if I should, or even how to start if i do deside to change… any advice?

). before i started ‘liking’ him, it began that it was just i looked up to him so much- he’s a man of God, and it’s not just me that feels that way. he’s currently in college to be a youth pastor, and he’s always been a strong leader in our youth group. he’s always there if i need prayer, or anyone else for that matter. all of the adults keep him in high regard as well.

Sup? So…there’s this guy that I USED to like. I had a nice conversation with him one day and then we didn’t talk for a while but when I went back to talk to him about that same conversation I couldn’t work up the courage. Finally I decided to ask him the question over facebook. I wrote on his wall and he deleted it…twice. I was really confused and hurt for a while but I think now I’m over it. Mostly. Ok, so my question is: WHY DO GUYS FIND SKANKY GIRLS ATTRACTIVE?? I mean the kind of girls who flirt 24/7…who wear the most revealing clothes…who talk like they’ve already had enough “experience” 2 last a lifetime…who r practically throwing themselves @ any guy that’s near…who always have 2 have a boyfriend… U know what I mean? Its so frustrating! Whats so great about having the average flirt??? Straightened, dyed black or bleached blond hair, wears 2 much makeup, no relationship w/ God, acting like they’re “bad girls”…. I just don’t get it. I know that I wouldnt want a guy whos just like all the rest… I wouldnt want him 2 wear skinny jeans or his hat backwards or have his hair so long I cant c his eyes or walk around w/ a skateboard & thinks he’s all that bcuz he knows how 2 talk trash!!! What satisfaction do guys get from these kinds of girls?? Its just so immature….

ok so theres this guy that goes to my school but we actually met at a youth re-treat last year. Anyways we went to the same re-teat this year and had a blast. We hung out like all the time and I started really liking him. When we got home he told me he liked me over a text, which i thought was lame to begin with.. lately we have been trying to get together and have lunch or go to the movies or something but we’ve both been so busy. First off, thank you so much for speaking at the tour this weekend! I feel like my outlook and attitude on pretty much everything has improved a lot because of it.
Ok, now for the personal stuff. There’s this really great guy in my school who’s a senior (I’m a sophomore) and he is so perfect. He’s sweet, funny, smart, kind, and cute. He’s into helping the less fortunate, which makes him even more attractive. He seems so sure of who he is. Lately weve been talking a lot more and flirting.a lot more, and at games we hang out a lot. He always looks at me in lunch and doesn’t seem shy when I catch him. The whole flirting thing is easy - I’m generally pretty confident all around - but when it comes to asking for his number or giving bigger hints, I’m not sure how to go about it. Any advice? Also, I’m the kind of person who might know someone likes me, but I always tell myself it isn’t true instinctively. I went to the Revolve Tour on Saturday and I thought hearing you speak was exactly what I needed because guys are always so complicated. My parents tell me to wait for the right guy to come along and I know they are right but it has always been hard for me to be patient. Almost every guy I meet is imature. How do you get a guy to realize you just want him to be normal around you? There is a guy that likes me who I do not like and he keeps trying to flirt with me and every time it just turns me off and no matter what I say he keeps flirting. What do I say? Also the Revolve Tour was Fantastic! God was definatly there and not only did I learn great things about guys….. It really helped my relationship with God. I was kind of on the edge because of problems my family has been having and some of them still remain and some of the pain does also but I feel a lot more peace then I did before the Tour! Everyone did a GREAT JOB!!!!

i went to revolve tour for the first time this year,(denver colorado), and i had a blast. I felt like i had been before though because my friend has gone every year and has only been able to say that you are amazing and have been through alot and now you have changed her life. I thank you for that. You have also changed my life. I planned on going to revolve 4 real and taking my cousins but i have found out that i will not be able to attend because there will not be one in kansas city or denver, ( those the only places i can go to it at). really wish i could go again you have changed my life thanks alot.
hey chad i saw u in rochester and i really liked ur heels lol. i could so beat u at hoops. heres what i have to say. i started talkin 2 this guy a grade ahead of me and he pretty much asked me out or so i thought. he asked me cuz we were talkin about the new friday the 13th movie and i told him how i loved scary movies and we were talking about ones we wanted to see like that one and my bloody valentine 3d and stuff and it was just so much fun i talked to him till about 3 am. durin feb vaca that night. he asked me if i wanted to go see the friday the 13th movie and i said yea. then i said that if he wanted to be a man i would take him on this really scary ride at the fair during summer. then he started asking me to go snowmobiling with me and we have like a lot in common like we both snowmobile and other stuff he so funny. then my friend totally took his aim from my aim and started i.ming him. he asked her out the 1st day they were talking and i was so mad at my friend. i pretended it wasnt mad but really i was like mad crazy i talked to the guys x girlfriend and shes my total bestie. she started texting him and she told him i liked him and all this stuff and i was upset. me and him still talk but like now theres kinda like a border of the stuff i can tell him and i dont wanna tell my friend the one thats dating him now stuff cuz i really dont know what shell say to him. i know im rambling on but my question is was i totally like being blonde or was he like not pretty much asking me out and y do guys completely do a 180 when relationships get weird. me and him ugh i dont even get it no more. and the way my friend thats dating him makes it sound like some big dramatic love story.

Why do guys in middle/high school try to act like they’re ready to be mature in relationships. One of my christian guy friends who I thought was really nice and I respected him started totally making out with this girl. Like tongue and everything he was like slobbering on her!
